Five words. Endless delight. With just apple, pear, orange, bear, and there, Emily Gravett crafts a board book that is somehow both beautifully simple and brilliantly clever. A brown bear juggles an orange, apple, and pear on one spread; on the next, an orange-colored apple and a pear-shaped bear turn the page into a playful visual puzzle that young readers will want to linger over and decode all on their own.
Destined to become a contemporary classic, Orange Pear Apple Bear is the kind of early concepts book that rewards repeated reading and children will want to read it over and over again. Whether little ones are just beginning to identify colors, shapes, and words or are already building early literacy skills, this spare and sweet picture book offers something new to discover every time it’s opened.
